Tesla selects Mexico as its next Gigafactory location

Rumored for months and now officially confirmed.

Tesla has announced that their next Gigafactory will be located in Mexico, during their Investor Day event. Giga Mexico factory which will be located Monterrey in Nuevo León will manufacture their next-generation vehicle. The announcement comes after months of rumors about the new location.

The selection of Mexico as the location for the next Gigafactory is a strategic move based on several factors. These include its proximity to the United States, as well as its lower costs of labor and tariffs.

This new Gigafactory will increase Tesla’s manufacturing capacity and improve their ability to meet the growing demand for electric vehicles in North America. No further details on the start on the factory construction was announced.
