Apple has announced the release of its latest smartphones, the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus, in a stunning new yellow color. The phones boast a range of features, including impressive battery life, a dual-camera system for high-quality photos and videos, and innovative safety capabilities like Emergency SOS via satellite and Crash Detection.
Both the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus feature a durable aerospace-grade aluminum design that is water- and dust-resistant. They also include a Ceramic Shield front cover that is tougher than any other smartphone glass, making the phones resistant to common spills and accidents.
The phones feature a Super Retina XDR display with OLED technology, supporting 1200 nits of peak HDR brightness, as well as Dolby Vision. According to the company, the larger iPhone 14 Plus boasts the longest battery life of any iPhone ever.
The dual-camera system on the back of the phone includes a pro-level 12MP Main camera, an Ultra Wide camera, and a new front TrueDepth camera that automatically focuses on multiple subjects at different distances for sharper close-ups and beautiful group selfies.
The phones’ Photonic Engine improves mid-to-low-light performance for photos across all cameras compared to the previous generation. Video features like Action mode and Cinematic mode are available to help users unleash their creativity.
The iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus also feature Emergency SOS via satellite and Crash Detection, which can detect a severe car crash and automatically dial emergency services if a user is unconscious or unable to reach their phone.
The phones are powered by the A15 Bionic chip, which enables faster speeds for demanding workloads and smoother graphics for video apps and high-performance gaming.
In addition to the yellow color, the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus come in midnight, starlight, (PRODUCT)RED, blue, and purple. They are available for pre-order from March 10, with availability beginning on March 14. The phones start at $799 (US) and $899 (US), respectively, and are available in 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB storage capacities.
