Apple has just announced that its 34th annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) will take place from June 5 to June 9, 2023. WWDC is where Apple showcases its latest software and hardware innovations, and here are some of the things we expect to see at WWDC 2023.

The next major update for the iPhone operating system will likely introduce new features and improvements for privacy, security, performance, and user experience. Some of the rumored features include a redesigned home screen with interactive widgets, a new notification system with more granular control, an enhanced Siri with more capabilities and offline support, and a revamped iMessage with social media integration.
iPadOS 17

macOS 14
The Mac operating system will continue to evolve with macOS 14, which will bring more compatibility and continuity with iOS and iPadOS devices. macOS 14 will likely support Face ID unlocking, AirDrop sharing, Handoff switching, and Sidecar extending with iPhones and iPads. It will also introduce a new design language that matches the iOS aesthetic, with rounded corners, translucent elements, and vibrant colors.

It will also support picture-in-picture mode, allowing users to watch multiple videos at once, and HomeKit integration, allowing users to control smart home devices from their Apple TV.
AR/VR headset
The most anticipated hardware announcement at WWDC 2023 is the AR/VR headset that Apple has been working on for years. The headset is rumored to be a standalone device that can connect wirelessly to other Apple devices, and offer both augmented reality and virtual reality experiences. The headset is expected to have high-resolution displays, advanced sensors, powerful processors, and a sleek design.
Mac Pro
Another hardware announcement that we hope to see at WWDC 2023 is the new Mac Pro. The new Mac Pro is rumored to have a modular design that allows users to upgrade and customize their components, such as CPU, GPU, RAM, and storage. The new Mac Pro is also expected to have a new cooling system that reduces noise and heat.
We also expect to to see the 15-inch MacBook Air, which is rumored to have a thin and light design that weighs less than 3 pounds, a Retina display that supports True Tone and P3 color gamut, an M2 chip that delivers fast performance and long battery life, and a Magic Keyboard that provides a comfortable typing experience.
WWDC 2023 will be an online event for most developers, but Apple is also offering a special in-person experience at Apple Park on June 5 for select developers and students. To apply, developers need to be members of the Apple Developer Program or alumni of the Apple Entrepreneur Camp or Swift Student Challenge. Applications are open until April 19.
