Cadillac has unveiled its next-generation EV, providing a first look at the brand’s groundbreaking inaugural all-electric Escalade: the 2025 Escalade IQ . As the iconic luxury brand’s first ever all-electric vehicle, the Escalade IQ represents Cadillac entering a new era and signals its commitment to leading the luxury EV market. Slated for launch in late 2024, the Escalade IQ will be the most technologically advanced and most powerful Escalade ever.
At the heart of the Escalade IQ is an all-new proprietary electric powertrain with dual motors providing all-wheel-drive. With a massive 750 horsepower and an earth-shattering 785 pound-feet of torque, the Escalade IQ will be capable of tremendous performance. Cadillac estimates the range to be up to 450 miles on a single charge, competitive with current long-range electric SUVs.
Matching the outstanding power and range are significant upgrades to the ride quality, interior luxury, and driver assistance tech. The Escalade IQ will come standard with GM’s hands-free Super Cruise system for highway driving, allowing drivers to go hands-free on compatible roads. Cadillac engineers have also focused extensively on providing a smooth, quiet ride with minimal cabin noise.
Inside, the Escalade IQ represents the pinnacle of American luxury according to Cadillac. The SUV features a stunning curved 55-inch pillar-to-pillar OLED display that incorporates the infotainment system, digital instrument cluster, and climate controls into one seamless and visually stunning screen. The rest of the interior is dressed in only the finest leathers and woods, redefining Escalade luxury.
Seating configurations includeCaptain’s Chairs as standard in the second row, with a 60/40 folding third row also available. The captain’s chairs offer heating, ventilation and industry-leading recline angles for maximum comfort. With the expansive cabin space, the Escalade IQ can truly be customized to carry two, five, seven, or eight passengers.
The Escalade IQ will initially launch in North America and China, followed by Europe and other regions soon after. Pricing is estimated to start around $130,000 when the 2025 models hit showrooms. That positions the electric SUV squarely against rivals like the Tesla Model X, Mercedes EQS SUV, and BMW iX.
“We are redefining the pinnacle of luxury with the Escalade IQ as the first all-electric Escalade,” said Mary Barra, GM CEO. “It leverages the strength of our proprietary EV technology to provide an unparalleled combination of performance, spaciousness, and technology to lead the luxury EV market.”
With its 750 horsepower and 785 pound-feet of torque, Cadillac is clearly not afraid to fully electrify its iconic Escalade. And by providing up to 450 miles of range, Cadillac ensures this SUV maintains the ability to be the long-range luxury cruiser Escalade drivers expect. The 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ sets a new standard for American luxury EVs.
