Polestart Introduces the Polestar 4

A Sustainable Mid-Sized Electric SUV with Impressive Features

Polestar, the electric performance brand from Volvo and Geely, has unveiled its latest offering – the Polestar 4, a mid-sized electric SUV that combines sleek design, advanced technology, and environmental sustainability.

Powered by a dual-motor system that delivers an impressive 300 kW (408 hp) of power and 660 Nm (487 lb-ft) of torque, the Polestar 4 has a range of 480 km (298 miles) on the WLTP cycle and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 4.7 seconds. The vehicle is equipped with a 78 kWh battery pack that can be charged up to 80% in only 40 minutes using a 150 kW DC fast charger.

In addition to its impressive powertrain, the Polestar 4 boasts an array of innovative technologies that enhance the driving experience and safety. It features a 15-inch touchscreen infotainment system that runs on Android Automotive OS and supports Google Assistant, Google Maps, and Google Play. The vehicle also has a 12.3-inch digital driver display that shows relevant information and can be customized according to the driver’s preferences. A head-up display that projects key information onto the windshield is also included.

The Polestar 4 is designed to be a sustainable vehicle that minimizes its environmental impact. It uses recycled materials for its interior, including vegan leather, wool, and cork. The car has a solar roof that generates up to 1.2 kWh of electricity per day, thereby reducing the battery consumption. The Polestar 4 has a carbon-neutral manufacturing process that offsets its emissions through various projects.

The Polestar 4 also features advanced driver assistance systems that use cameras, radars, and ultrasonic sensors to monitor the surroundings and assist the driver. These include adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, blind spot detection, rear cross-traffic alert, collision avoidance, and emergency braking. The vehicle has a Pilot Assist feature that can steer, accelerate, and brake in certain situations.

The Polestar 4 is expected to go on sale in late 2023 and will compete with other electric SUVs such as the Tesla Model Y, Audi Q4 e-tron, and Hyundai Ioniq 5. While the price has not been announced yet, it is expected to be in line with its competitors.

Overall, the Polestar 4 is a promising addition to the electric vehicle market and embodies Polestar’s vision of creating high-performance and sustainable cars. It is more than just an SUV; it is a statement of innovation and responsibility.
