Tesla has reduced prices for its Model S and Model X flagships sedans in the US for the second time this year, according to the company’s configuration page.
The base Model S now costs $89,990, with the Plaid version starting at $109,990, down from their previous prices of $94,990 and $114,990, respectively. The Model X has also seen a price reduction of up to $10,000 and now starts at $99,990.
However, it’s worth noting that neither the Model S nor the Model X qualifies for the federal EV rebate, as the law only applies to EVs priced below $55,000. Some reports suggest that the current price cut is an attempt to boost sales at the end of Q1 2023.
Delivery estimates for the Dual Motor AWD Model X are currently between March and May 2023, while the Model X Plaid’s delivery window extends to April 2023. The base Model S and Plaid Model S are estimated to be delivered in March 2023, but these dates are subject to change.
