Tesla has introduced vehicle wraps for its Model 3 and Model Y, expanding its offerings to include seven new color options in the United States. The wraps are priced between $7,500 and $8,000, depending on the color chosen. The cost encompasses both the material and the installation service.
The seven colors available for the wraps include Satin Stealth Black, Slip Grey, Glacier Blue, Satin Rose Gold, Forest Green, Satin Ceramic White, and Crimson Red. Among these, Satin Stealth Black and Slip Grey are priced at $7,500, while the rest are priced at $8,000.
The wraps are only available through Tesla, and the purchase price includes both the cost of materials and installation. These wraps can be obtained at participating Tesla Service Centers. However, they are exclusively available for the 2023 Model 3 and 2023 Model Y vehicles. Additionally, to purchase these wraps, customers need to have the latest Tesla app version 4.23.0 or higher. These color wraps are not just aesthetic enhancements but also come with functional benefits.
They feature a self-healing paint-film that can be waxed, polished, clay barred, and ceramic coated just like traditional automotive paint. If the vehicle gets micro-scratches, the paint-film is capable of returning to its original condition within 24-48 hours. Furthermore, the installation process for these wraps is estimated to take between five to seven business days, post which the vehicle can be collected from the service center.
The introduction of these vehicle wraps not only provides Tesla owners with more customization options but also demonstrates Tesla’s continuous efforts to enhance customer satisfaction and vehicle personalization. This move might also reflect a growing trend in the automotive industry towards providing consumers with more options to personalize their vehicles right from the manufacturer, blending both aesthetics and protective functionalities.
