Twitter sued for allegedly unpaid rent!

The company has been accused of failing to pay rent on its office spaces.

Twitter, owned by Elon Musk, is facing a lawsuit over alleged nonpayment of rent. Columbia REIT-650 California, LLC, the landlord of an office tower in San Francisco, is suing Twitter for breach of contract.

The lawsuit states that the company was served a notice of default on December 16, 2022 for the amount of $136,260, but failed to pay within the required five business days. The lawsuit, filed in California Superior Court on December 29, 2022, is seeking damages of at least $136,260.

This case follows two other lawsuits against Twitter for alleged nonpayment, including one from software vendor Imply Data and another from a private jet provider. In addition, there have been reports that Twitter has stopped paying rent at multiple offices, including its San Francisco headquarters, as a cost-cutting measure.
